Rotating a Picture

Cropping parts of a Microsoft Word ClipArt picture

You may have found a Microsoft Word ClipArt picture that you only want to use some part of it. Use the Crop tool to cut a part or parts off a picture that you don't need.

To Crop a picture, follow these steps:

1. Click once on the ClipArt picture that you want to crop.
   
2. From the Picture toolbar, click on the Crop button.

  Once you click on the Crop button, you'll notice your picture gets little crop-marks on each corner and at each side.

In addition to that, your mouse pointer also has a little crop symbol added to it.
   
When choosing to crop an image, you'll notice the crop-marks added.

3. Position your mouse pointer over one of the crop-marks, click-and-drag to crop the desired part of your image.

Rotating a Picture

You can rotate your Microsoft Word ClipArt picture by 90º to the left, without using the green Rotate marker.

To Rotate a picture, follow these steps:

1. Click once on the ClipArt picture that you want to rotate left.
   
2. From the Picture toolbar, click on the Rotate Left button.
   
  Microsoft Word ClipArt: Rotate Left button Rotate Left button (on the Picture toolbar).
   
  Once you click on the Rotate left button, you'll notice that your picture gets rotated in a 90º angle to the left.

Keep on clicking the Rotate Left button to see the different rotation options.

The rest of the buttons on the Picture toolbar are quite self-explanatory. Click each of them and see what they do!
