Copying A Range To Another Range

If you can copy and paste a cell's contents, why not an entire range? You have the power within you.

To copy the contents of one range to another range of the same seize, follow these steps:

1. Select the range to copy.
   
2. Click the Copy button on the Standard toolbar.

Or you can choose Edit ► Copy from the menu bar.

Or you can press CTRL + C.
   
3. Select the upper-left cell of the range that you want to hold the copy. This would be the starting cell of the range.
   
4. Press Enter.

Or you can click the Paste button on the Standard toolbar.

Or you can choose Edit ► Paste from the menu bar.

Or you can press CTRL + V.


Copying Data To Another Worksheet Or Workbook

Someday you may want to copy something to another worksheet or even to another workbook. The routine may seem somewhat familiar to you if you've already copied data within the same worksheet.

To copy data to another worksheet or workbook, follow these steps:

1. Select the cell or range to copy.
   
2. Click the Copy button on the Standard toolbar.

Or you can choose Edit ► Copy from the menu bar.

Or you can press CTRL + C.
   
3. Click the tab of the worksheet that you're copying to.
   
  If the worksheet is in a different workbook, switch to that workbook by selecting the workbook from the Window menu bar, and then click the tab of the worksheet that you want to hold the copied data.
   
4. Select the upper-left cell of the range that you want to hold the copy.
   
5. Press Enter.

Or you can click the Paste button on the Standard toolbar.
